Believe it or not, August is here. After months of trying to fill days with activity while also escaping the heat, we can all go a little nutty by the end of summer.

This Saturday, have a family day at the 2nd Annual Austin Kids Day Live at the Riverbend Centre. From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., kids can marvel at the wonderland of moonwalks, magic shows and even a video game center, while filling up on tasty eats and treats. Need a break from the outdoor fun? Indoor performances from Joe McDermott, Aunty E and the Biscuit Brothers start at 10:30 a.m.

School bells are hot on the heels of summer days. Play accordingly.

Ps

Stay on the groove train and head to Little Lounge Lizards at Momo’s on Saturday from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. This quirky outing is an Austin favorite, letting kids and parents show off their moves.
